ignorance

jealousy and envy manifest themselves in many ways; both harmful to the psyche and have consequences on and off the mat. i have always believed that this was perhaps the worst sin in the world; the feelings arising from seeing someone with something you cannot have or at least, never have tried to obtain are manifestations of denial and refusal to welcome acceptance of your own imperfections or inaction. it is easier to project onto other people than to admit defeat. but anything in life we do not accept will cause trouble until we make peace with it. non acceptance leads to ignorance. and you cannot fix what you cannot or chose not to face. the things you confront and acknowledge bring about wakeup calls..the absence of which denies your confrontation with the critical issues in life. you cannot change what you do not acknowledge. the real issue is ignorance, remedied by constructive action.
